From our workshop on the family farm in the Tale Valley, east Devon, we design and make fine wooden furniture using the most beautiful and sustainable wood - trees from our own woodlands and hedgerows.

There isn’t much between us and Dartmoor, and trees that don’t survive the big winter storms that roll off the moor - we offer these trees an afterlife, memorialised in our furniture.

We carefully manage our small pockets of broadleaf woodland* to promote natural patterns of succession and biodiversity so often missing in fractured agricultural landscapes. By taking the odd oak or ash, cherry, beech or chestnut, and using as much of the timber as possible, we are able to make furniture of unimpeachable provenance and sustainability.

Our designs are built on functionality and simplicity of form, putting the material centre-stage and embracing the imperfections and variations of solid wood to create furniture that is unique and meaningful. Whether freestanding pieces, small homewares, or bespoke fitted installations, we make timeless furniture, built to be enjoyed for many years to come.
